The Novare Terroir Awards have been sponsored by the Novare for 14 years - and founded by Marius Labuschagne, who has just handed over the reins to the South African National Wine Show Association, ably run by stalwart organisers Elsabe Ferreira and Bennie Howard. At the lunch awards ceremony held on Thursday 1 August, comedian Nic Rabinowitz kept the audience in fits of laughter as he made fun of wine-making and farmers! Congrats to the many recipients - with top position going to Bon Courage Estate in Robertson, with three national winners, the top Colombard, the top Cap Classique sparkling wine (MCC) and top Rosé.
