Brookdale Estate in Paarl opened their very own tasting room and restaurant in February 2023. Found at their newly established cellar, the Tasting Room & Bistro offers relaxed wine tasting and dining overlooking a sea of vineyards and the mountainous landscape of the estate. At The Tasting Room, you can sample Brookdale wines crafted by their talented young winemaker Kiara Scott. The Bistro, led by the inventive Chef Gary Coetzee, you can indulge in flavourful cuisine, cooked using the best seasonal, local produce in the Paarl Valley. Judy, Erica and I had the privilege of attending the opening function of the Tasting Room & Bistro on Wednesday 22 February. Along with a group consisting of media and friends, we sipped on wines from the fantastic Mason Road range (Chenin Blanc, Serendipity Rosé and Syrah), enjoyed tasty canapés, and took a tour of the new cellar. It was a lovely gathering. The hospitality of the Brookdale team, the relaxed ambiance, and incredible views made for a magical experience.
