In early February, Hazendal invited Jeanine and Erica to sample their newest offering: The Hazendal Sensory Experience. The experience begun with a citrus vodka cocktail as a welcome drink in the Wine Lounge. Next, we went on a tour of the estate and its state-of-the-art wine cellar. The tour concluded in the Hazendal Wine Library, an elegant subterranean space that's home to a display of historic Hazendal wine bottles from decades past. Here, we enjoyed a tutored food and wine pairing. For this immersive pairing, each carefully selected wine is artfully matched with a flavour-packed micro plate, reflective of chef Michelle Theron's inventive cooking style. A pairing to remember, for sure!
