On Saturday, 31 August 2024, I had the privilege of visiting Wildekrans Wine Estate. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were greeted with a spectacular view of the canola fields surrounding Wildekrans as we proceeded to the Tasting Room. On arrival we were very warmly welcomed by Jesmeen and taken through the tasting options. We went to sit outside on the stoep area where Jesmeen presented our tasting in a very professional manner. We tasted the 2024 Wildekrans Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 Wildekrans Deep Purple (my favourite), 2022 Wildekrans Pinotage, and 2020 Wildekrans Shiraz (which showed a lot of ageing potential so we purchased a bottle). After our tasting we proceeded to the Wildekrans' Keer-Weer Restaurant. We had a walk around and all staff were welcoming and helpful. We will be back to experience the menu as the ambience of the restaurant was inviting and calming so a must visit next time All round a wonderful experience!
