The Pebbles Project is one of those organisations that just get things done! And as Sophy Warner, their founder and CEO says, "There was a need and suddenly it all came together and now the Flenterskloof community have a state-of-the-art After Care learning facility". The Lighthouse Learning Centre building was an old Apostolic church and it now has a few classrooms set up with educational equipment, computers, outside play area, a small food garden and is close to where the children live. It caters for many ages - from 6 to 18 from what I could see. The centre is a beacon of light and is just next to Rupert and Rothschild on the R43.The children were excited and enjoying the space with a spark in their eyes. This is what really makes the difference and feeds the soul. Well done to team Pebbles, who, slowly but surely, are changing the landscape of access to better education, health, literacy and numeracy for hundreds of young people in the winelands. #wineforgood
