This year's Inter-Hotel Challenge, hosted by Showcook, involves 31 hotels across the country, and there are so many participants in Cape Town that they need two days for their cook-offs and tests. I attended the first day at the Capsicum Culinary School in Salt River, and the energy was electric and nerves were tight!
