Gone are the days of dark, old-fashioned wine tasting spaces. I was delighted to pop in to DTK Wines in the Breedekloof Valley recently and see the tasting room that has undergone an entire overhaul. Fresh, modern, light, stylish, child-friendly, mountain biking trails, Ou Meul, friendly faces, and a really lovely experience. So next time you are driving through the Huguenot Tunnel on the N1 out of Cape Town, take a right towards Rawsonville and stop for a relaxing tasting and/or lunch under the trees.
